Science, Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) link activity
SETPoint Cambridgeshire is a registered charity, is part of the national SETNET network, and is the official single access point for STEM education and business link activity in Cambridgeshire. It is operated by Exscite Ltd, which is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence for devising and delivering STEM activity.
Its aim is to:
- Enhance the teaching of science, technology and mathematics by linking with business and technological contexts to support the curriculum
- Increase young peoples awareness of careers in science, technology, and engineering
- Further the public understanding of science, engineering and technology
The Exscite Limited team are specialists in supporting teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through business education links. Exscite Limited staff have over 30 years of experience in the field, covering all phases of education and initial teacher training.
The delivery teams can offer:
- Consultancy to education establishments, employers and other organisations wishing to develop link activities.
- Training to company staff in preparation for working with schools, in general STEM activities and curriculum specific science and design & technology projects.
- Facilitation to make things happen by organising events, managing programmes and producing teaching resources.
