How can the construction industry help your school, your teachers, and your pupils?

The Construction Industry Training Board can help you to provide work- related learning experiences for all pupils aged 5 – 19. We can help young people to learn:-

• About the world of work
• Through the world of work
• For the world of work

The support that we can offer is as follows:-

• Professional development places in the construction industry for teachers
• Site visits for teachers and pupils
• Work experience, work shadowing for pupils
• Support for curriculum subjects (such as D&T, Maths, Science, Drama etc) in the context of construction and the built environment.
• Provide young professional role models to support careers talks, seminars and industry days
• Support the school with construction vocational programmes
• Support primary schools undertake the “Construction Award Scheme”
• Provide resources, information and funding to support the above activities
